Tasting - Rex-Goliath Red Zinfandel
Name: Rex-Goliath Red Zinfandel
Variety: Red Zinfandel
Region: California
Country: USA
Year: N/A
Price: $5.99
Winery Review: The old-vine fruit from Lodi provides an abundance of ripe blackberry and cherry flavors. The Central Coast provides earty, spicy, coffee/mocha notes. The "dry farmed" fruit from the Sierra Foothills provides the depth and complexity that really rounds out the flavor profile.
My Review: This wine smells very good; hints of berries and cherries and sweet smells in the nose. It was somewhat dry, but still tasted good to me. The aftertaste reminded me of cherries as well. I liked it!
I tried this wine without food.
